Van der Waltshoek farm is a pet-friendly, self-catering working farm with cattle and an open game farm during the hunting season from May-August.
Van der Waltshoek offers the perfect rustic farmstay in the Camdeboo conservancy, 48 km from Graaff Reinet. The 38km gravel road is in good condition, with two security gates with codes and cameras.
We offer a safe holiday destination for families who love to walk/hike, climb mountains, cycle, play tennis, do birdwatching, and do any other outdoor activities that come to mind.
You will find cattle, horses, antelope, and diverse fauna and flora on the farm.

Hunting is offered in the winter season, swimming in the streams and rowing on the dam in the summer, and in the rainy season, you can visit one of the very few waterfalls found in the Camdeboo area.

We have a tennis court made from anthill clay, a shooting range, a kayak to row on the dam, endless bird watching, game watching, and adventure limited to your imagination.
